Delving Deep into the African Market and Empowering Cross-border Cooperation | Li Guomei, President of the Tanzanian Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Conducts Special Docking for Equipment Procurement in Madagascar

June 10th, 2026

Recently, Li Guomei, President of the Tanzanian Chinese Chamber of Commerce and General Manager of Fadeel, traveled to Madagascar in Africa for special business inspections and economic and trade docking. Focusing on the core local industries of agriculture and pharmaceuticals, he engaged in targeted connections with local farms and pharmaceutical enterprises. In-depth discussions were held on the procurement of various agricultural and pharmaceutical machinery and equipment, supply chain establishment and long-term strategic cooperation, striving to expand the channels for cross-border industrial cooperation between China and Africa.

As an important island country in southeastern Africa, Madagascar boasts exceptional agricultural resources and a steadily developing pharmaceutical industry. It is home to numerous high-quality farms and local pharmaceutical companies, with a strong demand for professional, standardized and intelligent production and processing machinery and equipment, presenting enormous market potential. As the local industrial upgrading accelerates, the upgrading of traditional production equipment and the optimization of production capacity have become essential needs for enterprises. This has created broad opportunities for high-quality Chinese equipment to enter overseas markets and for further deepening industrial cooperation between China and Africa.

During this trip, Li Guomei and his team adhered to the principles of targeted docking and pragmatic cooperation. They conducted on-site visits and investigations at a number of large-scale farms and formal pharmaceutical factories across Madagascar, gaining an in-depth understanding of the current state of local industrial production, deficiencies in equipment operation and the core demands of enterprises. Through face-to-face discussions, they learned in detail about the procurement standards, technical parameters and purchasing requirements for full-process machinery and equipment used for farm planting and maintenance, agricultural product processing and warehousing support, as well as for pharmaceutical production, purification, testing and packaging.

In the course of negotiations, leveraging the technological strengths, cost-effectiveness and mature supporting service systems of high-quality domestic machinery and equipment, Li Guomei fully presented various professional devices suitable for agricultural planting and processing as well as pharmaceutical production to local enterprises. He elaborated on the intelligent functions, energy-saving advantages, after-sales support and customized service solutions of the equipment, effectively easing the concerns of local enterprises regarding equipment compatibility, operation and maintenance services, and cross-border supply. The two sides conducted in-depth consultations on key topics including equipment procurement specifications, delivery cycles, transportation guarantees, post-operation maintenance and long-term bulk cooperation, and reached a number of preliminary cooperation intentions, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent bulk export, delivery and long-term strategic cooperation of equipment.

As President of the Tanzanian Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Li Guomei has long been engaged in economic and trade activities in Africa. He has been committed to building a communication bridge between Chinese and African enterprises, facilitating the precise connection of China's high-quality production capacity and advanced technologies with Africa's local markets, and promoting the high-quality development of China-Africa economic and trade cooperation. This special docking visit to Madagascar not only accurately met the equipment upgrading demands of the local agricultural and pharmaceutical industries and opened up channels for cross-border procurement and cooperation of machinery and equipment, but also further expanded enterprises' market layout in Africa. It has also effectively strengthened industrial linkage and commercial exchanges between China and Madagascar, helped upgrade local industries in Africa, and achieved mutually beneficial and coordinated development for all parties.
